About Spring Village Development FOUNDATION - JAMAICA
Our Mission
To empower the residents of Spring Village and adjacent districts to achieve self-reliance in order to improve their educational, spiritual, physical, social, economic and environmental well being.
Our History
Founded in November 1998, the Spring Village Development Foundation has been serving the Spring Village community for over 27 years.
Our organization's Vision is to provide “an improved quality of life for individuals and families in a socially vibrant community that is closely interconnected to each other where each person’s value and importance is recognized and engaged as an integral contributing member of the community where all are striving towards achieving the wellbeing of others and the maintenance of a clean and environmentally friendly space.”
Over the years the SVDF has implemented and sustained a comprehensive programme of development targeting residents in order to correct and improve the issues that were negatively impacting the community. The strategies were focused on improving institutional capacity i.e. Schools and communal facilities while implementing programmes geared towards empowerment and facilitation of persons, lifestyles and livelihood.

The Spring Village Development Foundation (Benevolent Society) is a community based registered charitable organization comprised of representatives from schools, church, community, diaspora and other stakeholders in the district of Spring Village, Bushy Park, St. Catherine.
